Privacy policy

Amoeba Sports is part of Amoeba Studio, Inc. This policy explains what we collect when you use amoebasports.com, why, and the choices you have. It's short, because we collect very little.
The short version
We don't track you by default. Analytics only run if you accept cookies; if you don't, nothing is collected and the tool is never even loaded. The only personal information we ever ask for is what you choose to send through our contact form. We don't sell data and we don't run ads.
Analytics
If, and only if, you accept cookies, we load PostHog, a privacy-friendly analytics tool, to understand how the catalogue is used. We capture a small, fixed set of events: page views, which catalogue products are opened, when someone views the full catalogue, contact actions, and contact-form submissions. Nothing else.
We do not use autocapture, we do not record sessions, and we never build advertising profiles. PostHog derives an approximate, city-level location from your IP address; we do not store your precise location or retain your raw IP. If you reject, PostHog is never loaded and none of this happens.
The contact form
When you send a brief through our contact form, we collect the name, email, company, and message you provide so we can reply. The form is delivered by Formspree, our form processor, which handles the submission on our behalf. We use this information only to respond to you.
Cookies and consent
We use one strictly necessary item: a record of your choice, kept in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again. It carries no identifier and is never sent anywhere. After you accept, PostHog stores an anonymous identifier in your browser's local storage, not a cookie; it never sets advertising cookies, and nothing analytics-related is stored before then.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer. Withdrawing stops analytics and clears the data PostHog held in your browser.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data or share it for advertising. We rely on two processors: PostHog for analytics and Formspree for contact-form delivery. Each receives only what it needs to do its job. Both are based in the United States, so the data they handle is processed there.
How long we keep it
Contact-form messages are kept for as long as we need them to handle your enquiry and our records. Analytics events are retained by PostHog under its standard retention. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw analytics consent whenever you like. Email us and we'll sort it out.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. Material changes will be made clear.
